This website has been provided to support 50Mhz operators from all around the globe. You do not need to be a UKSMG member to access this website, but you do need to register if you wish to post an announcement or add to the forum pages. Sunday 28 December 2008  6m EME DXpedition to South Cook Islands E51SIX on 6m EME March 26-April 4, 2009 I wanted to announce this DXpedition as far in advance as possible, in order to provide adequate time for people to gear up for it in the event they are interested in working E51 (previously ZK1) on 6m. Friday 26 December 2008  Palestine, E4. The E44M team will be QRV from Palestine from January 1-11, 2009. Team members include C31CT, IK2CIO, IZ0BTV, IZ0EGM, IZ4AKS, IZ8IYX and SP3DOI. The team has the license and will be QRV on 160 through 2 meters on SSB, CW, RTTY and all digital modes with a KW. Equipment will include three stations with beams, verticals and wire antennas. Monday 22 December 2008  Namibia, V5 - Update Operators Hal/ ZS6WB, Pine/ ZS6OB, Dick/ ZS6BUG, Sarel/ ZS6AC, Dave/ N7BHC and Dan/ HB9CRQ will be active from the moonrise on January 7th to moonset on January 16th (2009). Their QTH will be in Luderitz, Namibia (Grid Locator JG73NI). Activity will be mainly on 50, 144, 432 and 1296 MHz EME. At the same time, they will be active for transatlantic Tropo on 144 and 432 and on the satellites (AO-7, FO-29 and AO-51). For more details and updates, watch the following Web page at: 
Tuesday 25 November 2008  KP5, DESECHEO ISLAND (Press Release #2, November 23rd - DXpedition Dates Announced) The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service has notified the team that February 12-26, 2009, will be the dates allocated for the radio operation. These dates are coordinated with other USFWS research activities scheduled on other parts of Desecheo Island as well as scheduling USFWS security personnel for the camp. Fifteen operators will be allowed on the island at any given time. A total of 6-8 stations will be operational, including 160-6 meters. [ Read the rest ... ]
