Merry Christmas & Happy New Year 2009
I'd like to take this time to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas.
This is a season of giving, peace, understanding and goodwill among all. I hope that this Christmas will find you among friends and family with good food, good times, and good memories. And I hope too that Santa lines the bottom of your Christmas tree with all the Amateur Radio goodies that it can hold!

YK9SV - Arwad Island, Syria |

The Arwad Island (AS-186) will active for first time ever a group of Greek HAM radio operators for 10 days between November 1 and 15 this year as YK9SV.
Special emphasis will be given on the low bands and modes of SSB, CW, RTTY and PSK31. 6M activity is expected if propagation permits.
The Team consists of: SV1GE John, SV1IW Manos Darkadakis, SV1JG Cliff, SV1QN George, SV1RC Spiros, SV1RP George, SV1ACK Aris, SV1GYG John Dialektos and SV8CS Spiros. Currently are preparing setup for lower bands, higher has been tested successfully.
This DX-Pedition is considered to be very expensive due to the special agreements needed for licensing, transportation, operation costs and support of the local Ham Radio Association. Due this fact operators are looking for sponsors yet.
