R1ANT Antarctic DXpedition PDF Print E-mail
A large Russian Antarctic Dxpedition did start last March 13th, at 8.00 leaving from Cape Town, South Africa, on board of "Academician Fedorov" on a route to Antarctica.

Station Progress from March, 23 till March, 30th, WAP RUS-11.
Station Mirnyj from April, 4 till April, 6th, WAP RUS-07.
Station Molodezhnaya from May, 14 till May, 16th, WAP RUS-08.
Station Novolazarevskaya from April, 20 till April, 24th, WAP RUS-09.
There is a plans for visiting 2 more Antarctic bases including possibly Maitri Base WAP IND-03.

Leading of Expedition is Valey Sushkov RW3GW, who did replace Yuri Zaruba UA9OBA actually very busy. The Team includes the head of film-radioexpedition Michael Botchkarev (ex: UA?XB).

During film-radioexpedition the radioamateur callsign used from territories of the Russian Antarctic stations will be R1ANT, while from on board of "Academician Fedorov " they will use R1ANT/MM. Special QSL VIA RW3GW the general producer and the author of the project "Antarctica".
