Merry Christmas & Happy New Year 2009
I'd like to take this time to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas.
This is a season of giving, peace, understanding and goodwill among all. I hope that this Christmas will find you among friends and family with good food, good times, and good memories. And I hope too that Santa lines the bottom of your Christmas tree with all the Amateur Radio goodies that it can hold!
Wish you a very happy new year, many nice DX contacts, a lot of pleasure with our hobby and see You in 2009 again!

P29 DXpedition Papua New Guinea |
|
|
|
Hans (SM6CVX), Derek (G3KHZ), Steve (G4EDG) and Luis (CT1AGF) are organizing a DXpedition to Papua New Guinea. They will be active as P29VCX from Nukumanu Island (OC-284, new one), and as P29NI from Takuu Island (OC-283, new one). The P29 DXpedition starts September 29th. On September 20th were all guys in Port Moresby. They might go later and operate also from the Tulun Islands (OC-256) on 6-9 October (callsign to be decided). Call will be P29VLR, P29NI, P29VCX. Expect them to operate on all bands, including 160 and 80 metres, with three stations, two amplifiers, verticals and a multiband dipole.
The dates may vary a little depending on the local weather.
Thez plan to run 4 stations simultaneously from 2 sites on each island. This should allow simultaneous operation from two stations on the same band using different modes.
Two stations will use 500W linears and two stations will use 100W.
QSL Information
QSL manager in Sweden SM6CVX says it costs 11 SEK for postage to all countries including Europe and Scandinavia.
This is the equivalent of two U.S. dollars. He says, please send one IRC or two U.S. dollars for a direct QSL for either of these.
