Merry Christmas & Happy New Year 2009
I'd like to take this time to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas.
This is a season of giving, peace, understanding and goodwill among all. I hope that this Christmas will find you among friends and family with good food, good times, and good memories. And I hope too that Santa lines the bottom of your Christmas tree with all the Amateur Radio goodies that it can hold!
Wish you a very happy new year, many nice DX contacts, a lot of pleasure with our hobby and see You in 2009 again!

Roger G3SXW and Nigel G3TXF will be operating as JW/G3SXW and JW/G3TXF from Spitsbergen (Svalbard Is. - EU-026) from late on Friday 2 Nov through to early on Monday 5 Nov 2007.
Given that radio conditions from this far North (78 degrees) can be awful or simply non-existant, the usual operating pattern whereby G3SXW is on the traditional HF bands and G3TXF is on the WARC bands may not apply. We'll try to get on wherever we can. 40m and 30m are likely to be the best bands.
The short operation will be from the JW5E club-station in Longyearbyen.
QSLs are via the home-calls.
For Roger G3SXW this trip into the winter snow and cold of JW will be part of a personal thermal-cycling project in the cause of Amateur Radio. Later in the same month Roger will be operating the CQWW CW Contest from the tropical climate of Guinea (3X) in West Africa!
