Antarctic HAM expedition 2009 |

F5PFP with friends are preparing an Antarctic cruise expedition in 2009. The main goal of the expedition is to operate about 5 to 7 hours per a base BUT also adventure,sailing,trekking,photos etc. Departure 18/02/2009 from Ushuaia ; Arrival to Ushuaia 17/3/2009.
They plan is very extensive and several bases could be cancelled due to weather and sailing conditions but each area will be visited.
ANTARCTICA (Mainland) AN-016 - Videla station, Danco coast and Almirante Brown station, Danco coast
PALMER Archipelago AN-012 - Yelcho station, Doumer island and Port Lockroy,Wiencke island
SOUTH SHETLAND Archipelago AN-010 - Macchu Picchu station, King George island; Republica del Ecuador refuge, King George isl; Gurruchaga refuge, Nelson isl;
Maldonado station,Greenwich isl; Juan Carlos station, Livingston isl; Station B, Deception island and Risopatron station, Robert island
Yacht "Le Boulard" - is 14 meters long with GPS, phone sat, automatic pilot and can take away 6 passengers + 1 or 2 crew members. The french skipper Jean Monzo who lives in Ushuaia speaks english and spanish is probably one of the most experienced sailor of the antarctic penninsula sailing every summer season in that zone since
1992 with the same yacht.
It is possible to take part to this expedition as operator but also as tourist. Price 6000 euros from Ushuaia to Ushuaia without extra charge. Contact:
